ORL’s New Racing Classes

These classes are suggested based on race time relative to the fastest rider at each event. These suggestions are intended to help racers choose a competitive class, but racers may enter any class they choose. If a racer is clearly dominating a class, the organization may require them to move up.

Racers will never be forced to move down.

New racers are encouraged to start in C class and work their way up.

Suggested class ranges:

Pro - within 115% of the fastest overall time

Class A - within 115–130%

Class B - within 130–150%

Class C - above 150%

Women may race in co-ed classes or women’s classes:

Women Pro Class - within 130% of the fastest woman

Women Class B - above 130
